Water Willow -- Justicia americana
Family Acanthaceae (Acanthus family)
This species was named for the resemblance of the leaves to that of a willow tree. This
is an aquatic species which is found in shallow, slow-moving water in streams and ponds.
It is very common along the shore of hematite lake in LBL near the dike.
