Family Campanulaceae (Bellflower family)

This species produces small purple flowers from the axils of the leaves on the stems from May to July. It has small, alternating leaves on a weak, droopy stem, and is often overlooked. It is common along roadsides and in waste places. This species is often found along the north shore of hematite lake in LBL.
