Thin-Leaved Sunflower -- Helianthus decapetalus
Family Asteraceae (Aster family)
This sunflower is commonly found at the edge of wooded areas and
thickets in moist areas from July to August. It is identified by
its thin, rough leaves and grows from 3 to 5 feet in height. Despite
the species name, not all flowers have ten ray flowers.
