Widow's Cross -- Sedum pulchellum
Family Crassulaceae (Orpine family)
This is our other species of stonecrop. It can be differentiated from the more common
white stonecrop by the habitat-- this species is found in dry, thin soil rather than limestone
and mossy banks. It also bears flowers on a raised stalk which bears the leaves, rather
than producing the flowers on a short stem among fleshy, succulent leaves as in the former.
