Pussy-Toes -- Antennaria plantaginifolia

Family Asteraceae (Aster family)

This species bears an uncanny resemblance to the bottom of a cat's paw, hence the name. Flowers are produced from April to May. Male and female flowers are produced on separate plants; the male flowers are smaller and are pinkish as compared to the larger, whitish female flowers.
