Partridge-Berry -- Mitchella repens
Family Rubiaceae (Madder family)
Most people are more familiar with the scarlet-red berries produced by this creeper, which appear
in late summer and persist through the winter to the next spring. It produces twin tubular flowers
with four petals in May and June and appears to be fairly common along streams and moist
hillsides.
