Pasture Rose -- Rosa carolina
Family Rosaceae (Rose family)
Of the many representative members of the rose family in our region,
the pasture rose is one of the most frequently encountered. Flowers
are 1-3 inches in diameter and grow very close to the ground. Blooming
occurs in May and July in fields, thickets and roadsides.
