Moth-Mullein -- Verbascum blattaria
Family Scrophulariaceae (Figwort family)
Both this species and the common mullein are European species which have become widely
established in the area. Moth-mullein can be found from May until October along roadsides
and waste places, producing tall plants that can range from two to four feet in height, bearing
numerous flowers which can be either white or yellow. This species is extremely common
along our interstates and parkways.
