False Rue-anemone -- Isopyrum biternatum
Family Ranunculaceae (Buttercup family)
As suggested by the common name, this species is often mistaken for rue-anemone. This species,
however, has 5 petals instead of 5-10 and in the former, the leaves are located directly below
the flower, whereas in this species they are not. This species appears in April, about the same
time as rue-anemone.
