Climbing Rose -- Rosa setigera
Family Rosaceaee (Rose family)
One of our native roses, this species can be distinguished
by the many fused styles which form a protruding column in the center
of the flower. This species often climbs over underbrush and
thickets and blooms from May to July. It can occasionally be found
in fields, and is often planted along fencerows.
