Blue-Eyed Mary -- Collinsia verna
Family Scrophulariaceae (Figwort family)
This species is rarely mistaken due to the whorls of blue and white (UK colors!) colored flowers.
Blue-eyed mary blooms in late April to early May and can commonly be found in rich woods in central
and western Kentucky, but is much more common in central Kentucky. This specimen is from Mercer county, KY.
